The RES2026 Regional Environmental Summit is taking place in Astana, bringing together heads of state, representatives of international organizations, and environmental experts.

The event aims to develop comprehensive policies and instruments for the protection, restoration, and shared use of ecosystems, water, and land resources, as well as biodiversity conservation in Central Asian countries.

The RES program includes 58 events, including 17 high-level events, four Central Asian country sessions, and 37 thematic meetings in the form of roundtables, conferences, and seminars.

The National Center of Expertise participated in the session "Protecting Future Generations: Health at the Center of the Environmental Agenda - Lessons and Solutions for the Aral Sea Basin." It is worth noting that the government is paying special attention to the impact of environmental changes in the Aral Sea region on public health, as well as measures to reduce environmental and climate risks.

The summit is a dialogue platform created in cooperation with the UN and international organizations. Its goal is to develop comprehensive solutions for the protection and restoration of ecosystems, the rational use of water and land resources, and the conservation of biodiversity in the Central Asian region.
