Как выявляют опасные игрушки показали специалисты Кызылординского филиала Национального центра экспертизы 27.11.2019

Today, the branch of the National Center of Expertise in the Kyzylorda region held a press tour dedicated to the safety of children's toys.

During the event, specialists clearly demonstrated how toys undergo organoleptic, physical factor, toxic-hygienic, microbiological, sanitary and chemical tests in the branch’s laboratories.

If inconsistencies are identified, the entrepreneur is issued an order to eliminate the violations, and an unscheduled inspection is carried out. Also, in case of non-compliance, the material is sent to the court and a measure is given in accordance with the Code of Administrative Offenses.

Over the 10 months of 2019, the branch conducted 1,020 studies and tested 108 samples of children's toys as part of a control purchase. Of these, inconsistencies in labeling, organoleptics, appearance and paint resistance to saliva and sweat were found in 26 samples. Identified inconsistencies can harm the health of children and cause allergic reactions.

Over the same period last year, the branch conducted 594 studies, 66 samples of toys were tested, of which 16 samples were found to be non-compliant.

During the press tour, specialists from the National Center of Expertise gave a number of recommendations for choosing quality toys.

According to them, in order to avoid serious consequences, consumers should always take into account the age category for which the children's product is designed. For example, toys for children under three years of age should not contain small parts, too rough surfaces, sharp corners or anything that could harm the baby. Avoid metal pins in cars and electronically filled toys that run on electricity (to avoid accidents). The toy and its components, including fasteners, must withstand mechanical loads. You should not buy rubber or plastic toys with a strong smell, and avoid purchasing fur animals in too bright colors.

In addition, when purchasing, you need to study the label and manufacturer's data. The toy must have a label indicating the composition, expiration date, and place of production. Don’t forget to ask the sellers for a product quality certificate.

Safety monitoring will continue in the future; it is worth noting that not only toys will be purchased, but also food samples and household chemicals.
